“The cars we are producing, they are restricted in some ways. I felt it is a time that we make a car that is not restricted by budget, by cost, by whatever. If we can do something, where we can combine traditional craftsmanship with modern technology which allows us to do, what you can’t do normally, would be nice. And this is why this has come. It is the ultimate Aston Martin. This is the ultimate car.”

- Dr. Ulrich Bez, Aston Martin CEO

Who needs a girlfriend if you can have an Aston Martin? Astons are always beautiful, always make other males look enviously at you and always give you an orgasm when you want it to.  All you need to do is to press the “Engine Start” button.

Astons have always been beautifully made. A combination of high-end technology and stunning design. Beautifully made on the outside, and beautiful design on the interior. Astons are fantastic grand tourers, and astonishing sports cars. Can you imagine a better car?

And this, this is a masterpiece. Aston Martin calls it the One-77 because it is one of seventy seven. And that is why you will probably never see one of these. If you do, you can consider yourself utterly lucky. This is the most powerful, most beautiful and most expensive car Aston Martin has ever made. Considering the price tag is on £ 1,2 million before taxes, you have one exclusive car. But the high price is proof of the high quality, and the feeling of luxury of this car. The whole body is hand made of aluminum, and the chassis is made of carbon fiber. The underside of the bonnet is covered with gold. And in the inside there is as much luxury as you can imagine an Aston to have. Every single piece is polished for two days before it becomes a part of the car. Almost everything on this car is hand made with the highest delicacy and precision. And they are using only the best, most exclusive materials.

But there is a particular reason for why we decided to write about the One-77. It is not an icon of motorsports or luxury sports cars. Not yet. The reason is its engine. Aston Martin is one of the last, European carmakers that don’t downsize their engines. Aston Martin has never built an engine with a supercharger or a turbocharger. And the cars are pretty fast, which results in putting a big and heavy engine in them. Now, the One-77 produces 750 bhp and 750nm of torque. How big of an engine do you need to put that amount of horsepower into use without using any supercharger or turbocharger? A very big one. The Aston Martin One-77 has a 7.3-liter V12. It is the world’s most powerful naturally aspirated engine ever made. And sadly, it probably will maintain THE most powerful naturally aspirated engine ever made. All because of EU regulations that force car manufacturers to build smaller, less polluting engines.

This rear-wheel drive 7.3-liter V12 monster has a 6 speed Automated Manual Transmission with Auto Shift Manual/Select Shift Manual (ASM/SSM) electro-hydraulic control system, which in human means that is has a six-speed flappy paddle gearbox. The engine, in true Aston Martin manner is front mid-mounted. The weight of this masterpiece is about 1500kg, which isn’t that much considering the size of the engine and amount of luxury features you get in it. It is actually lighter than the smaller Audi R8.

But what about the performance? Well, you will get from 0 – 100 kph (0-62mph) in only 3.5 seconds. And top speed is more than 320kph (200mph).

All of the 77’s are sold out, so even if you could afford one of these, it would only be a dream. There were more than a 100 clients who expressed their interest for the One-77 pre sale. One of the customers ordered 10 (!) cars. I guess it was a sheik.
